WOMEN in Pendle are being offered a day of free, fun, fitness classes to celebrate International Women’s Day as Pendle Leisure Trust is running a range of classes at its centres in Colne, Barnoldswick and Nelson.
Classes on offer at Pendle Wavelengths, Pendle Leisure Centre and West Craven Sports Centre will include Aerobics, Pilates, Yoga and more, and participants will also receive a free seven day pass to use at any of the three sites.
Project Co-ordinator, Lucy Cowgill, said: “The reason we are holding this event is to encourage more women to take part in sport and also to celebrate 100 years of International Women’s Day!
“It is a day all about women to realise our potential in this modern world and to celebrate all women’s achievements throughout the past 100 years.
“We have received funding from Lancashire Sport to allow this event to take place It. It will be a great opportunity for all women in the borough to come together to experience something healthy and active.”
International Women's Day is on Tuesday 8 March and is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.
