We started going to the Art Deco Café in Stanley Park for tea after watching cricket matches in the summer. We always enjoyed the experience, however since the Gallagher family have taken over the running of this beautiful café, we go there on a more regular basis, to have breakfast, lunch or a sandwich and a cup of tea or coffee.
We particularly enjoy Sunday lunch because they have an excellent selection of live music from one o’clock until three. The food is superb with specials every day and service at table if you reserve, otherwise serve yourself. The staff are fantastic - friendly and helpful - the décor of course is lovely with high ceiling and large windows, making it bright and airy and this makes for an all round wonderful experience.
