‘Blood, Sweat & Tears’, choreographed and directed by Lorent, looks at the huge impact the arrival of a baby has on a relationship. A powerful piece about the ups and downs of unconditional love, BS&T is made up of three parts and performed by Jon Beney, Baptiste Bourgougnon, Gwen Berwick, Gary Clarke, Gavin Coward, Meritxel Pan Cabo and Philippa White.
Says Liv Lorent: “Blood, Sweat & Tears has been created from my own personal experience in addition to that of friends and acquaintances. It is a work that looks frankly at some of the darker sides of parenthood and the demands put on a relationship when a first baby enters the home. It is also a romanticised and fantasy filled reflection of the past tense - pre baby. Blood Sweat & Tears is an extremely honest and empathy fuelled work of dance that is made for men and women who have had babies, or are thinking about it."
