Fylde Flyers ice hockey team will be hoping to gain ground in the English National League Division 2 North table this weekend as they travel to Sheffield on Sunday to take on the team who are directly above them.
Sheffield Senators have two wins from their 8 games this season so far and are 2 points ahead of the Flyers who have one win from 6.
Fylde's early season progress has been hampered so far as they have only been able to play away games as they wait for their home rink to be made ready to stage home matches.
As things stand, they hope to make an exciting home debut next Saturday (26th November) when they are due to entertain bottom placed Lancashire Raptors at the Sub Zero rink in Cleveleys, who they beat 4-0 at Blackburn in their opening game of the season.
The season so far:
10th Sept: away at Lancashire Raptors - won 0-4
1st Oct: away at Solway Sharks - lost 16-0
8th Oct: away at Solway Sharks - lost 18-6 (Veldze 5, Hulme 1, Caunce 0+3)
16th Oct: away at Bradford Bulldogs - lost 9-2 (Veldze 2)
6th Nov: away at Flintshire Freeze - lost 6-3 (Caunce 2, Veldze 1)
13th Nov: away at Hull ENL Stingrays - lost 6-3 (Caunce 2, Clark 1)
