Mark Nelson Art Exhibition At Fylde Rugby Club - 11th December

Fresh from his success playing acoustic guitar and singing his own compositions at the Art Deco Café, multi-talented Mark Nelson, Lancashire and Fylde Rugby Head Coach, held a one-man one-day art exhibition on Sunday, 11th December 2011.

Fylde Rugby Club is fantastic and demonstrated its versatility as a venue, transforming into an art gallery to show Mark’s varied works of art to perfection.

“It’s grim up north!!!” featured many of Mark’s stylised East Lancashire scenes – described by the Chief Curator of Tate Britain as “a refreshing representation of the region” - as well as local Fylde Coast views. Also on show were some portraits and sketches.  Very inspiring and a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere.

If you missed this opportunity to view Mark’s work, we understand he will be holding another one in the not too distant future, so watch this space!
