The Sands Blackpool Venue has released its programme for 2011 and we are pleased to see that Blackpool based ska band SKAFACE are among the acts who have been booked to appear. The sea-front venue is currently closed for major refurbishment and is due to reopen on 23rd April.There are lots of different acts lined up to suit all tastes in music with regular swing band nights, soul nights, tribute acts – even afternoon tea dances – but there are SOME dates that we are especially looking forward to:
20th May: Snake Davis – world renowned saxophone player
3rd June: The Swing Commanders (see pic below) – great for bopping, jiving, and lindy -hopping to or just sit back and enjoy the music
4th August: Blackpool’s very own Skaface
21st October: top jazz singer Clare Teal
29th October: The Syd Lawrence Orchestra
