AFC Blackpool moved 4 points clear at the top of Vodkat League Division 1 after a hard fought encounter at home to second placed Chadderton at Jepson Lane.A single goal by Brown in the 82nd minute settled the match, although Chadderton had a first half goal diasallowed, put up probably the most well organised performance of any visitors thus far this season and pushed the Mechanics to the very end.
Chadderton remain in 2nd place, 4 points behind the leaders havng played 3 games more while 3rd place AFC Liverpool and 4th place Wigan Robin Park both have 28 points, having each played one game more than the leaders.

AFC Blackpool are away at Cheadle Town next Saturday and play their next home game on Saturday 22nd January when they entertain Holker Old Boys in the 2nd round of the Vodkat Leaue Division 1 Cup.
