Every year, Laughing Horse Comedy Club holds a nationwide search for the comedy stars of tomorrow. There's a heat for the New Act Of The Year 2011 compettion at the the ACE Centre in Nelson on Thursday 13th January with a selection of acts and where the audience will be the judges!UK based Aussie Ro Campbell has spent 5 years honing his craft by gigging all over the UK, Ireland, Europe and beyond. He has performed at the last 5 Edinburgh Fringe festival's and made The Scotsman's pick of Best Jokes of The Fringe in 2009.
He has also performed at Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Adelaide Fringe and has written for British TV and Radio. 12 people in the Outer Hebrides once saw him perform on BBCCs Gaelic language channel. He was a finalist in the Scottish Comedian Of The Year 2007 and 2009, finally getting around to deservedly winning it in in December 2010
