Alun Parry Special on Preston FM - Friday 7pm

Tune in to our first radio show of 2012 this Friday from 7pm on 103.2 Preston FM and hear a special full length feature by Liverpool singer songwriter Alun Parry (pictured left).

Alun is very much a modern day troubadour - travelling around the country and writing songs about things he sees, mainly about social injustice and other weighty issues. In this special piece, entitled "Tressell And Me", Alun explores the themes behind  Robert Tressell's 1910 novel "The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists", putting them into a modern day context and illustrataing the whole thing with some of his own songs.

In this show, we also feature a great interview with Barrow based singer songwriter Stuart MacFarlane and some epiphany related music from the Dan Forshaw Quartet.

You can hear Preston FM on 103.2FM in the Preston area or worldwide over the internet by going to http://www.preston.fm/ and clikcing on "listen live".
