Art Exhibition "The World is Mine To Paint Too", Sides Art & Frames, Lytham, From 21st October 2011

“Art isn’t about communication.  It’s about the search for significance and control in a world of anonymity and chaos” - Guy Denning.

Local artist Robin Ross has organised another successful exhibition with the aim of bringing urban street art into main stream art galleries.

Works from Anthony Micallef, Adam Neate, Blek Le Rat, Nick Walker, Pedro Matos, Eelus, Swoon, Agent Provacateur, Kimmings, James Baker, Askew, Grafter, Dan Baldwin, Irek Tankpetrol, Guy Denning, Whitney McVeigh and Craww are showing in the exhibition entitled “The World is mine to paint too…!” at Sides Art & Frames Gallery in Lytham, Lancashire from 21st October 2011.
It is particularly interesting to be able to talk to an artist about his work and Irek Tankpetrol from Poland was on hand at the launch on 20th October to explain the thinking behind the pieces he is exhibiting.  It is a shame that Irek's street artwork is no longer on North Pier for us to view.  However you can still see samples from “Sand, Sea & Spray” in the bus station and Cookson Street car park in Blackpool.

Whether or not you saw and enjoyed Robin’s summer exhibition of urban street art “Sand Sea & Spray” in Blackpool this year, this gallery exhibition is an absolute ‘must see’.
