We think this is a great idea and fairly easy to do - all you need is a packet of poppy seeds - so why not join in? According to Stanle's Facebook Group member Bob Ecclestone, poppy seeds actually need to be sown in colder weather to do well - they don't need covering up either - just put a few down on raked soil. Our Gardeners' Almanac suggests that the best days for planting flowers this month are next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - 17th, 18th and 19th December 2013 so eat, drink and be sure to plant poppy seeds…
