Solihull Barons sensationally took over the lead at the top of the Laidler Conference (North 2) after a four point weekend.
They won 7-2 away at bottom team Blackburn Eagles on Saturday night and then despatched last season's champions Nottingham Lions 7-1 at home (in photo) to move 3 points ahead of previous leaders Deeside Dragons - who didn't have a game at the weekend.
In the other Laidler Conference game of the weekend, Hull Stingrays continued their impressive run of form making it 4 wins out of 4 games with a 4-2 home win over Sheffield Senators.
In the Moralee Conference (North 1), Sutton Sting moved up into 3rd place after a 17-1 away win over bottom team Telford Titans. They move ahead of previously 3rd place Whitley Warriors who could only manage a 6-6 draw away at 6th place Sheffield Spartans.
Second place team Billingham Stars beat Manchester Minotaurs 6-1 to move to within 2 points of leader Solway Sharks, albeit having played 2 games more.
