Bruce Sims Presentation To Trinity Hospice / Brian House

We visited Brian House Children's Hospice and Trinity Hospice in Blackpool today with Canadian ice hockey player Bruce Sims who has come over for a visit and to play some games with the Blackpool Seagulls ice hockey team for whom he originally starred back in the early 1980s.

We produced a special souvenir programme to cover the two games that Bruce would be playing in and looking back over his time playing in Britain along with his twin brother Brian, during which they won league title with both Blackpool Seagulls and Southampton Vikings.

Bruce said: "I am very pleased to be able to help raise money for the Hospice in this way.  The programme is a really great tribute and I have been deeply touched by the warm welcome that I have received wherever I have gone in Blackpool."

The grand total has not yet been finalised as we are still collecting donations but we wanted to go and take the photo before Bruce flew back to Canada - so there is still time to give if you so wish!

Bruce has kindly agreed to allow his name to be used for our continued fundraising effort in aid of Brian House Childrens' Hospice and we have set up a Just Giving page in case anybody would like to make a donation.  To make a donation, click here:  www.justgiving.com/seagullsimsflyingvisit
