Our Afternoon Tea Review: What better way to start celebrating our wonderful Jubilee Weekend than by having a sumptuous afternoon tea in the beautiful, iconic Parks Art Deco Cafe in one of Blackpool's Best Kept Secrets - Stanley Park? And what a feast - as you can see from the photo - a glass of bubbly, pot of tea of your choice (or coffee if you prefer) with milk or lemon, sugar lumps in a bowl with sugar tongs and lovely china on a table specially laid to commemorate the Queen's Jubilee. Then the food, lovingly designed and prepared for this event by Parks Art Deco Cafe Executive Chef Sinead Gallagher. First of all delectable mini savouries - mouthwatering beetroot vol au vents light as a feather, Russian Salad vol au vents, Coronation Chicken tartlets - then a variety of Sinead's signature sandwiches with ham, egg mayonnaise, cream cheese and cucumber, then scones jam, cream and strawberries, then, dulcis in fondo, gorgeous light cakes. Wonderful. Unmissable!
