For anyone planning an autumn break, The Wirral Peninsula in England's north west is a lovely place. There are some wonderful stretches of coast and the Peninsula is bordered by the estuaries of the Rivers Mersey and Dee and the Irish Sea.
One of the nicest cafes we have found is The Tee Room at 172 Banks Road, West Kirby, Wirral, CH48 0RH, where you will find wonderful, home-cooked food and a warm welcome.
The café is owned and run by Iain Lomax who is also, as you can probably guess from the name of the café, a golf enthusiast. Instead of table numbers you will find details of some of the most famous golf links and courses in the UK and America. An excellent menu from breakfast to lunch and (my favourite) afternoon tea.
