Broken erupts on the stage with dancers displaying stunning athleticism combined with incredible digital imagery and original music in a uniquely visual and adrenaline-fuelled spectacle. This trademark Motionhouse production considers the precarious relationship we have with the earth and lures the audience into a world of shifting perspectives.
Broken builds on the success of the company’s major international hit, Scattered, based on the elemental theme of water, which Motionhouse performed on the Grand Theatre’s Stage in 2009.
Broken is a co-commisioned piece by the Grand Theatre Blackpool, Warwick Arts Centre, Watford Palace Theatre and Swindon dance.
Created by artistic director Kevin Finnan, Broken is currently embarking upon a major UK tour following its premiere at Warwick Arts Centre in October 2013 and will be performing at Blackpool’s Grand Theatre on Tuesday 19 November.
This also follows a monumental year for the company, which saw Kevin Finnan take the role of Choreographer and Movement Director for the 2012 Paralympics Games Opening Ceremony.
