Cats Paws Sanctuary Charity Night

Local rising artists helped raise over £240 for the Cats Paws cat sanctuary in a special charity concert held at the Carousel Hotel (Tues 22nd Sept) on Blackpool’s New South Promenade.
The evening was staged by Blackpool based good causes volunteer group Through The Net and featured singers and dancers from the Beverley Alexander school.
12 year old Briony Moxon (pictured) stole the show with a heart rending performance of “Part of Your World” from “The Little Mermaid” with sterling support from St Annes soul singer Ashley Benjamin, who performed a set of Michael Jackson songs and soul classics, swing singer Lucy Coffey, experienced jazz cabaret singer Sara Creeney and newcomer Keri Ward who was making her first singing appearance in pubic with a storming rendition of “Defying Gravity” from the musical “Wicked”.
Oliver Dunlop thrilled the audience with a stunning dance routine and the evening was rounded off by Beverley Alexander herself.
A review of the evening will be broadcast on the Paul & Lucy show on Preston FM on Tuesday 29th September at 11am. Preston FM can be heard on 103.2FM or worldwide over the internet by clicking on “listen live” at http://www.preston.fm/
