Improve Your Dance Hold!
While having a mooch around the sales stands at the British National Dance Championships at the Blackpool Winter Gardens, we came across an amazing device that helps you get the correct holding position for ballroom dancing.
If you don't have the right hold on your partner, you don't get the right movement or control and that's where the TOPLINE frame comes is. It helps you get your arms into the right position and then, over time, you get used to the correct hold and your dancing improves as a result!
They come in different sizes and designer Nick Gallagher-Hughes (pictured) kindly fitted both of us with the correct frame - they are suitable for men and ladies - and we immediatey noticed the difference in our own hold just standing in the exhibition hall. In fact, while we were there, one of the couples who were due to compete, rushed out to borrow one for their practice session in the ballroom and apparently caused quite a lot of interest among other competitors...!
Even if you are not planning on dancing in competitions, this frame will be helpful because every dancing partner likes to have a firm, clear hold as that is the only way to follow the steps correctly. That means you can look swishier when you dance and that makes everybody feel good!
To find out more, check out their website at http://www.toplinedanceframe.com
Father Christmas take note: we'll have one each please!
