Support The Seagulls On Charity Cycle Ride For Children's Hospice

Kind hearted ice hockey players are swapping their skates for wheels to raise money for a childrens hospice.

Members of the recently reformed Blackpool Seagulls ice hockey team are taking part in the  60 mile Manchester to Blackpool cycle ride on Sunday 8th July to raise funds for the Brian House childrens hospice, which is based at Trinity Hospice in Blackpool.

The Seagulls team, who are based at the SubZero Ice Arena in Cleveleys, recently reformed after a break of 20 years as a recreational side and include a number of players from the old British League team of the 1980s, along with other younger enthusiasts and supporters.

In their first game back, they helped raise £1500 for the Great Ormond Street Hospital based CHILDREN with CANCER leukaemia charity and £1500 for Help for Heroes in a special charity match against the UK Firefighters team and now they are facing a different kind of challenge.
