We went along to the recently opened Sands Venue on Blackpool Promenade for the Big Band Night and were really impressed. Host for the evening Richard Shelton (you may remember him as the murderous GP in Emmerdale...) sang some great swing numbers backed by the terrific Greg Francis Big Band.
Great menu choices and attentive service made the evening complete and what's great is that the taxi rank is right outside the entrance, so you don't have to worry about walking to the car park....
If you haven't been yet, it is definitely worth a visit. They have lots of different themed entertainment on different nights - so there's something for everybody.
